8th Day Hotel: The Historic Cameron Trading Post

Just a quick note regarding our stay at The Historic Cameron Trading Post.
This is a hotel that has come into the years (a bit older :)), but is OK for a night or two. Unfortunately they only had one room left with two double beds, so we carted in a roll away bed. I would not recommend this if at all possible! The roll away bed is not up to the latest standard for helping your posture, and also has seen much better years! I can imagine what my mother's comments would be .......
There is a huge gift shop as part of the store, with a very wide selection of Indian and traditional western American items. We did not visit the restaurant, but instead used the small grocery store (also part of the main building) to buy some items, and had a nice family "Abend Brot".
For us, this hotel is one of those "glad we experienced it, we don't need to repeat it" experiences.
However I would, as minimum, recommend stopping here, alone for the gift shop and view outside the back. The warm desert wind is very comforting, and watching the sun go down is beautiful.
